[The last few days have probably passed in relatively peaceful quiet for Nanu and his police station residence. Lots of rain, the usual Skull grunts here and there...but no scientist in an outlandishly heavy coat--not since that one night awhile back, anyway. Almost a week goes by without incident in this fashion.
But then, one rainy morning, a Magneton appears out front.
Well, not that it materializes out of the ether or anything. Before Nanu steps outside, it's drifting down from a trip quite a bit higher in the sky to float about on the path in front of the station for a little bit, strafing back and forth as if waiting for something...or someone. It looks like a pretty typical Magneton--and its casual magnetic proximity might even be causing any electronics running inside the station to blink and waver just a little--though a second glance would reveal that there's some kind of small circular metal device attached to the head of the topmost Magnemite-trio. A couple of little lights are blinking on the device, and there's a small antenna on it. The Magneton doesn't seem to mind it very much.
After a couple of minutes it starts drifting closer to the police station, taking a little more interest than entirely necessary in the circuit-breaker box attached to one side of the building. But fortunately, it's around that time that Nanu probably emerges from the front door proper--and if he does, the Magneton is immediately veering away from the circuit-breaker with a distinctly apologetic buzz, horseshoe magnets twirling sheepishly, all three eyes darting about before affixing on the newcomer. Nope, nothing to see here, it sure wasn't doing anything rude just now!! Like wanting to eat your power, or something!!! Continue as you were and don't mind this Magneton here, human person.....]

[Aside from that little mystery, he'd been trying to follow up on the tiniest thread of a lead on the grunt who decided to abandon his newest addition. If she was still part of Team Skull, she must be wearing the bandana like everyone else; it made judging by hair color and half-learned gestures much more difficult.]
[Yet still, his keen eyes searched for both of these newly-opened personal case files as he made his rounds every day.]
[This particular morning started like any other. Groan out of bed, a cup of strong coffee, care for his pokémon before he cares for himself. The only oddity that interrupted this routine was the brief distortion of his computer screen as Nanu watched the morning news - had he blinked, he'd have missed it. He chalked it up to a vague 'the computer's acting up', until he rose a second later to pull his police jacket on and the station's lights flickered.]
[Well, storms were frequent and the station's power was known to act up. So, as the kahuna rounded up his pokémon in their poké balls before stepping outside into the downpour, he thought nothing of it. Until he closed the door and turned. And there was a Magneton inexplicably floating by the side of his police station, looking particularly startled.]
[Nanu can tell it was apologizing, in its own way - he knew the station's circuit breaker was right around the corner. But what it was doing here in the first place was beyond him. It's clearly owned, he can tell that much, unless someone decided to slap a- a-- ...whatever the hell that thing is, on some poor unsuspecting wild Magneton. He could only thing of two other options...]
You're a ways off from the geothermal power plant. [That's a long way to wander, especially if it was looking to sap some energy. The power plant had that covered a thousandfold.] ...You one of Molayne's? I'd appreciate it if I kept my power supply, thanks.
